Valentine season

Under the cold sky, let’s walk, holding hands
The other hand holding the bag you got a while ago
Let’s hold hands, and walk

The street lamps are blinding against
The bright starry sky, so
To the top of the hill, let’s walk

The cheerfully walking you, leaves footsteps on top of the snow
Then you come here quick, holding to your chest the present you just bought

Surely, this is our best anniversary
The date’s not on the calendar
You, and the road you walked into the snow
Jammed into this bag are a lot of feelings
Sweetness, sadness, and a bit of bitterness
The scent of love is the best present

In an airconditioned room, I stay beside you
Your handmade cake and chocolate, as well as your heart, are sweet

It’s an endless time, this sweetness and warmth
With hands wrapped diligently ‘round a screw, let’s make the road we see before us

Surely, we have in our hands the half of our lives
The one I love, and this history, are interchangeable, right?

The contents of this bag, are not ours alone
As if representing life, see, tears and love both take up half

Yes, sweet and painful
Valentine season

  • Yes this is a sweet song. Yes Tosshi sounds like the manifestation of love itself. But no, I have no idea how to parse the lines after the first chorus. “Hands wrapped around a screw”? “Screw” was the only word I could find for “neji” (in katakana), so I chose to interpret this as them using a screw (for SOME reason) to make lines in the snow. Why didn’t you guys use, idk, a shovel instead, or just your shoes, like POV singer’s S.O. did earlier? But I digress.
  • Also: WHAT ON EARTH IS WITH THAT ENDING, TOSSHI, DID THEY BREAK UP, PLEASE TELL ME THEY DIDN’T BECAUSE OH MY GOD PLEASE DON’T PUT #WalangForever IN MY SWEET AF TOSSHI LOVE SONG
  • “The one I love, and this history…” actually the word that comes after is “spinning” or something, I basically gave up trying to translate it literally during this time haha
