碧く

Lurking in there, I want to kill it, my impatience
I know, now, I cannot help it in any way
I tried to talk, but, however,

If I close my eyelids, since I’m chasing after you,
I might get ahead of you, but,
Because it’s not that I want to hurry up,
I’d let it go past, the melody of yesterday

Bluer, bluer,
Feelings are just, no more than this
I’m keeping your voice with me, so I won’t forget
Bluer, bluer,
I want to embrace your words tightly, now,
I don’t want to be separated any more than this

The sky is cloudy, dyed in blue-gray daydreams
Whose shadow had accompanied me?
The answer is here, you know it, right,

I’ve covered my ears, but, I’ve still heard,
The footsteps you’ve left behind
For me to look back would be my loss
Losing my bearings is worrying, that’s today’s irritation

Bluer, bluer,
Feelings are just, no more than this
I’m not pretending to be tough, rather, I want to be stronger
Bluer, bluer,
I’m conveying what I want to tell you,
That I want us to always be like this

The lit fire in my heart is, always,
Seeming like it’s going to disappear
The path we’d walked on up to now is, always,
Seeming like it’s going to end

Bluer, bluer,
Feelings are just, no more than this
I’m keeping your voice with me, so your voice can become,
Bluer, bluer,
I want to embrace your words tightly, now,
I don’t want to be separated any more than this

The lit fire in my heart is, always,
Seeming like it’s going to disappear
The path we’d walked on up to now is, always,
Seeming like it’s going to end

Seeming like it’s going to end

  • Originally translated at 08/14/16. Kanji here.
  • The title gave me a bit of a dead end – it’s “aoku”, which is literally “bluer”, but the kanji used for “ao” itself is 碧, which on its own means…well, it could also mean blue, but Japanese being what it is, it could also mean green, and I think I saw it being something for “jade”…I’m just confused right now, haha
